That Time I Filmed A Documentary

May 31, 2020

Yup, you read that right friends.

There has been so much change since I wrote my last post. In my own life and around the world. We are living in a world pandemic. Something, I did not see or any of us coming.

The one thing I am grateful is LOVE. It is a powerful force, that has the ability to heal. In more ways then I think we realize.

So, what do current events and my past have in common?

Over the course of my life, I have experienced many traumatic acts. I always knew that there was more to life. Even the darkest days, I knew LOVE existed.

Last summer I started filming a documentary. It was tough. In quiet times, I would film fragments and speak of past events. Opening these memories back up, meant feeling them too. I stopped filming a couple months ago. This project is on a hiatus. Amidst the pandemic and the home school life, I needed to be present with the current. Sitting and speaking to a camera about my past, didn't feel right.

There was a silver lining to this documentary.....

I healed

I cried

I made peace

I felt renewed

I found my purpose

What is next? Well, I will say it's pretty rad.

Soon, I will share with you the next digital creation of my creativity.

It is unlike anything I have done.

So, thank you for being here. I appreciate you.

Love & Light,

Kaylyn
